Connect SOLIDWORKS to Eggle ERP: send detail lists to the right product

Moving an Excel list from design to another person who retypes it into ERP creates another opportunity for mistakes. BodyExporter can send the SOLIDWORKS detail list to Eggle ERP through an API.

A clear handover

The workflow is SOLIDWORKS → BodyExporter → Eggle API → the ERP product detail list. The designer reviews the list, chooses the product code and sends it. A responsible person reviews the received data before production uses it. This does not promise automatic background synchronization.

Prepare and connect

  1. Create the receiving product in the correct Eggle company.
  2. Confirm access to the Products & BOM module.
  3. Create a CAD connection key for the intended machine.
  4. Open BOM Settings → ERP connection in BodyExporter.
  5. Enter your ERP address and key, test the connection and save it on that machine.
  6. Send a test product and compare quantities, dimensions, materials and categories.

The ERP address and key are user configuration rather than a fixed customer address in the plugin. Keep keys private and review them when changing machines.

Check the receiving product

Compare row counts, total quantities and representative pieces. Understand the replacement scope before updating an existing list. If sending fails, inspect the ERP result before retrying or handing work to production.
